TAKING A BREAK AND RETHINKING REPORT 103

Report 103 is just shy of six years old today. And over those years, we have produced 163 issues containing about 500 articles on creativity and innovation. And with 6000 subscribers, and thousands more who read us on the web, we like to think we've done a good job. I have certainly learned a lot researching articles, have met some fantastic people and have received thought-provoking feedback.

Nevertheless, I feel I need to take a little break from writing and editing Report 103 in order to concentrate on other projects we are working on. In addition, I would like to rethink how we communicate and share our knowledge via Report 103.

Our provisional plan is to relaunch Report 103 as a collaborative blog in the very near future. This would allow me to write articles on an ongoing basis, rather than according to a publication schedule. It would make it easy for other thought leaders in the field to contribute and it would allow you to interact with me and others more easily.

We (our consulting partners and I) have not finalised the new Report 103 concept yet. So, if you have thoughts or think you might like to contribute --- please e-mail me at jeffreyb@jpb.com.

In the meantime, there are hundreds of articles on business creativity and innovation in the Report 103 archives at http://www.creativejeffrey.com/report103/archives.php  and some additional papers at http://www.creativejeffrey.com/creative/  – enjoy them while we get the new Report 103 up and running.

INNOVATION PROBLEM SOLVING WITH JENNI

Your business has problems and unachieved goals. You have strategic aims and need to achieve them. Meanwhile, your employees, business partners and customers have creative ideas that can help you solve those problems and achieve those goals through innovation.

Jenni innovation process management (IPM) enables you to capture, evaluate and develop those ideas so that they become innovations. It's a simple process based on creative problem solving (CPS), a method first identified in the 1940s and recognised as the most effective method of generating creative ideas. It is the basis of brainstorming, scientific research and the thinking of most creative people.

Unlike suggestion scheme software which generates a lot of ideas, few of which are relevant to business needs, let alone strategy, Jenni's approach allows you to align idea generation with strategy. The result is a highly efficient innovation process made available to you via an easy to use web application.

If you believe innovation should align with strategy – contact us today for a demonstration of how Jenni works. See http://www.creativejeffrey.com/jenni/ for more information or contact us to arrange a discussion about your needs.

But hurry! Your competitors may already be using Jenni to facilitate their innovation process!
